I have a Diploma in Humanistic and Integrative Counselling from BCPC (Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling),in addition to a Social Sciences Degree majoring in Psychology and Sociology.
I am a registered, accredited member of BACP (British Association for Psychotherapy and Counselling) and I abide by their code of ethics.
Personal and professional development are important aspects of my work, and as such I am committed to ongoing professional training, and I also attend regular supervision.I have worked as a volunteer counsellor at The Listening Post in Stroud, and also at Cotswold Counselling in Cirencester, as well as in my own private practice. This has given me the opportunity to work with people from varied backgrounds and with a wide variety of life issues. I strongly believe that everyone should have access to this type of therapy and thus a proportion of my work is voluntary.
My interest in psychotherapy and counselling goes a long way back -early on I gained a degree in Sociology and Psychology and then added to this many years experience in the commercial world which contributes to my realistic approach to my work with clients.
